Statewide Broadcasters' Top Ten: Week 5
Re: Statewide Broadcasters' Top Ten: Week 5
We (Dillon) definitely haven't played anyone so I am grateful our team is even considered for any type of poll. The normally good teams on our schedule are bad this year. Our game with Havelock got cancelled due to the lightening. I think this hurts us in the playoffs when we face good teams because we haven't been tested all season.

Ya'll will be fine. Its a 3 horse race between you guys, Chapman, and Chester in 3A. I don't see a real test for Dillon until the state championship game.Wildcat92 wrote:We (Dillon) definitely haven't played anyone so I am grateful our team is even considered for any type of poll. Don’t sleep on Gilbert. Their QB is putting up amazing numbers this year and they’ve beaten some solid 5A teams. Their game Friday at River Bluff will tell us a lot about them.FootballFan4343 wrote:Ya'll will be fine. Its a 3 horse race between you guys, Chapman, and Chester in 3A. And Camden is looking stout as well.

Are you guys forced to play playoff games with only 10 players? When you get to the playoffs do they give the other team 7 points to start the game? I am just not seeing how you are "punished" for the weak schedule you all play.
Weak schedule fort plays? Um some teams ahead of us schedules aren't exactly strong. Either. It hurts we didnt play Vera out of Florida but Glynn Academy out of Georgia who we played would beat alot of teams on alot of those team's schedule. Not saying fort should be one but our schedule is not as bad as many would think especially non region. If we would drop Wando from the schedule and play someone more worthy would had been even better. We can't help our region, that's out of our control

I don’t put too much stock in the polls. What’s more important to me is seeing these guys have a chance to play at the next level. When it comes to that, Sumter is a top 3 team in the state, if not number 1 since Mark Barnes has been here. Also, there isn’t enough upper state teams willing to play lower state teams and vice versa. That needs to change. It would make for better football in this state.

Re: Statewide Broadcasters' Top Ten: Week 5
Geeze dude. Ok, then WHAT ARE YOU BEING PUNISHED FOR?? You insinuated some kind of punishment for playing certain team(s), so one would assume you are saying Fort Dorchester plays a weak schedule. So, if you don't think its a weak schedule, I ask this. Why is Fort D being "punished"? What is the reason? Also, again, WHO is doing the so-called "punishing"? Are you guys being forced to play all playoff games on the road? Are you forced to only put 10 players on the field in the playoffs? Do they spot the other team 7 points in your playoff games?Fortd00 wrote:FootballFan4343 wrote:I will ask again, who is doing the "punishing"? Since you now are reversing your stance and saying Fort D plays a decent schedule, I am trying to understand the following: #1, What is the "punishment" for? #2 Who is doing the "punishing"? #3 How exactly is Fort Dorchester being "punished"?
Re: Statewide Broadcasters' Top Ten: Week 5
Not just fort i believe region 8 is punished by having stall forced upon us.it doesnt do stall any good to get mauled we dont gain anything from it either.the schl put them up in 5aaaaa .from 3 or 4.out of region we have afew good games.viera would be a top 10 team here in sc.but weather got us.im sure some of the out of region is because of distance .id love to get a h and h with byrnes or some other upstate school.
