I have no idea why so many, including the media, continue to be in love with Lexington. They aren’t that good. Barely beat Stratford and got handled by a 3A team. You will see
Well, I'm definitely not in love with them...

So who should be there? It was basically a flip of the coin on my part.
Lexington has beaten Blythewood on the road and layed an egg against Gilbert
River Bluff only played one team that looks impressive and got beat 42-0.
White Knoll is unbeaten but look at the opponents... no one with a pulse.
Chapin does have a win over A C Flora last night, so maybe I should have gone with them?
Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if all of the above mentioned didn’t beat Lexington.
So you didn't answer my question....

I am the same as you. Maybe, it is the feel good story of Curtis coming back home. I was not impressed with them against West Florence. They let South Aiken score 28 on them. I have no clue how Stratford is, but Gilbert took it to them and probably showed what will happen when they face a decent defense. I could be very wrong, but I think they will be on the road for the playoffs. I think they can beat Chapin and River Bluff, but I could also see them drop those games too.

The difference this season is that they have beaten each team soundly. Also, South Aiken beat Clinton 41-30. I didn’t see that one coming at all. Hopefully they can secure the ball this week against River Bluff.

Well, White Knoll is still rolling along so I've moved them up this week to the #1 spot with Lexington at #2 since they are 2-0 in the Region (I almost left Dutch Fork there but I am so confused about the Foxes). Some other slight changes including, T L Hanna over J L Mann switched them and Blythewood losing to Nation Ford put Clover on the Top Line in their Region as well.

Some of the key games in 5A this weekend (of course all the games are important)

These games could be the deciding game for the Region Championship.
SUMTER vs CAROLINA FOREST - This one has decided the Champion several times
HILLCREST vs T L HANNA - Again, not unusual for this game to be a biggie.
WHITE KNOLL vs LEXINGTON - Still seems strange that someone beside Dutch Fork is the possible champ..
CANE BAY vs GOOSE CREEK - I don't know, is this considered a "RIVALRY GAME"?

Don't think Cane Bay vs Goose Creek is considered Rivals 🤔
But it will decide the Region champion 🏆

For the past couple of years I have picked them as well, but Sumter seems to end up at #1 every year so I decided to just put them there from the start. I wanted to put CF at the top, I really did....
We scrimmaged Sumter, and played C Forest in week 3.

This is a tough call. Sumter always seems to start off soft, and then finish strong once they get into region play. CF has struggled in close games against good teams this year, losing to Summerville, Oceanside, and S Florence.

I chose Carolina Forest in the pick'em, I think the loooooong bus ride, and home-field advantage gives CF the edge.
