Start looking at the district websites for the districts you are close to. Find the contacts of the head coaches and either send an email or give them a call directly. As a HC or a leader of any organization I want people that come to me and show me they want the job, not the other way around. Just my opinion I guess, but that is how I would go about it.

Happy hunting Coach! Check the schsl page, that is where some jobs will be posted. SC coaches really do not use maxpreps jobs like NC does. Follow SCFCA on twitter, some jobs are posted there as well. Also, see if you can join the SCFCA as they used to have an email listserv that people would use to announce openings. Additionally, call or email coaches at schools that fit what you are looking for. Be proactive in your approach.

It is still early for position coach hiring as some schools will not know what positions in the building or in district they will have to offer, so be patient.

absolutely do what olguy said as well, look on the SCHSL site and try to join the SCFCA social medias. But like he said it will be a little bit later when position coach openings are happening. It would be good to be certified in something other than PE as well, just because those positions are few and far between. Once you are certified in one thing you just need to pass the praxis in another content to add that certification.

If I were you maybe take a trip to Spartanburg today and tomorrow for the shrine bowl. There will tons of head coaches there and even if they are not in need of service maybe they have friends that are . At least get some contacts that way. Business cards would be helpful as well.
Just an opinion.

Conway has advertised for an OL coach but that’s not really close to the area you’re looking for.

I wouldn’t advise anyone to join the staff at Conway. What a disaster.
