That's a good schedule. Wish I could say the same for ours, but, unfortunately it looks powder puffish. The outstanding team we have coming back will have to play a mockery of a schedule. I wouldn't care if the whole region forfeits every game. We have sacrificed the value of what could have been a tremendously exciting and interesting season, seemingly to cater to some other sports, of the non revenue kind. Maybe it will result in a few more wins here and there, for some. Maybe. But at what expense...most I've heard from do not like it at all. They could have left it alone until the next realignment in two years. It's a bad look for us IMO. Bad timing. Bad decision. I hope the other schools and rivals know that there are many of us over here that do not approve, did not want this, but, we have no say.

Glad to see we are still on the schedule! Love getting to play 96 every year going to be another classic hopefully. I hate to be like this but it seems to me that the big bad Bennett is scared of Clinton. I figured they would play this year after Bennett got comfy at 96. I thought wrong though. I want to see them play. I saw on social media that he had legendary coach at Clinton, Keith Richardson speak to the team this past season and if he going to keep ties to Clinton you might as well play them! The lakelands need this match up. Bennett make it happen stop dodging Clinton!

to the history .won 1 lost 3 . I am 77 and i have
no idea when that was . They did not
play each other when coach Dula was
at 96 . He and coach Richardson were good
friends . they coached together at Woodruff
before they became head coaches . The JV played
one year back then . Clinton won 6-0 . If my
Wildcats are good enough they will meet the
Red devils in the playoffs .BIG IF.

packed with fans with fans packed around
the sidelines and endzone.one of the biggest
crowds i have seen at 96 was 2001 when 96
and the Shoals played for the upper state
championship. I used to work with several
people from Ware Shoals . We used to have some
jawing going on at work .The good old days.

The Shoals and 96 has been a great game over the years and I remember the 01 upper state game as well. Couldn't find a seat in the place. 1A/2A football ain't what it used to be but for guys like you and me it still holds that magic. These old little forgotten towns where community is everything still comes alive when Friday night comes around. Ware shoals for those who don't know, play in the outfield of an old mill baseball stadium. It holds a special place in my heart as I used to play not only football but baseball in that stadium many moons ago. Hopefully we can find that magic again this season and each pull off a great deep playoff run.
