What would a football playoff bracket look like?

Is it going back to a 16 team playoff upstate/lower state? Are teams going back to traveling around like the old 4A model?

It hasn't been announced, but there are fewer than 32 teams in both divisions, so I suspect some teams will get a first round bye. They have divided the schools into upper and lower for the playoffs, so no long cross-state travel.

If they stick with the number of automatic berths that were mentioned in the article, they will need at least 24 berths in each division, since 12 teams in 5A-I upper and 5A-II lower could qualify for an automatic berth based on their region standing.

Wild guess: I'm thinking 24 berths in each division. 12 upper, 12 lower. The region champions get a first round bye, leaving 16 teams in the 2nd round.
