Organizer fumbles Fouts fundraiser
Voluntary assistant coach at Trinity-Byrnes lied about event, does not know former QB

FLORENCE — More than 100 people, most of whom had paid good money, were looking forward to hearing former NFL standout Dan Fouts speak Saturday night at the Country Club of South Carolina.
There was just one problem with that scenario: Fouts, the former San Diego Charger quarterback and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, didn’t know anything about it.
