98 yard Shaw to Cooke

35-13 Rebs

Something is brewing in Duncan, long way to go, but I feel like the pieces are finally all there for a run.
Why? Because you beat a not very well coached 4A team? Has Byrnes been reduced to this? Byrnes used to be a national program. And you have a ton of talent over there. Beat somebody. Beating a Greenville team that hasn't won a game doesn't mean everything is falling in place for a run

What part of a long way to go can you not comprehend??? All I said is the pieces are there.

Decav is correct, we can't stop the run consistently. But we can score from anywhere and in a lot of ways.

Decav is also correct that Dorman is probably in better shape if we were playing Dorman this week. Dorman's O line would control the game. But as someone else pointed out, neither team has a win over a team that is really impressive when you look at the schedules to date.

Common opponent of Greenville: 53-28 Dorman @ Dorman -------- 56-28 Byrnes @ Greenville

Dorman had a tough night last night according to MAXPREPS

I woke up this morning, that's a positive!
Right now I am vertical, on top of the grass

I was kind of thinking the same thing.

I’m hearing Byrnes can’t stop the run and their QB doesn’t have enough time to throw the ball.

On paper this looks like advantage Dorman. We’re still going off the fog of war. Too soon to tell.
But i like what I see with dorman
I agree with dorman, but honestly neither have played someone with a pulse. Too early to tell and a long way to go. Most of Greenville rushing yards came late against non starters. Not sure about the qb having no time, Shaw is averaging about 350 a game and has only be sacked once in 3 game.
I think we're in agreement. Dorman and Byrnes just have not played a truly ranked opponent yet. Time will tell whether we should have had a tougher opening schedule. I have a feeling Spartanburg is much more prepared than either Dorman or Byrnes.

The question how do you stop 8 explosive weapons that have the potential to go the distance for Byrnes?
How do you lineup for 48 minutes with Dorman powerful run game!

Byrnes is legit folks! Dorman is legit folks! You are fooling yourself if you think anything different!

This is my official prediction.

The Byrnes QB will be running for his life.

It won't be anywhere on the field if the QB doesn't have a pocket. It will be high percentage plays. I think the Dorman Defense are going to bring the house. We'll need to shut down your run. We're not that good at stopping the run. We're better if we can force you to pass and then we'll pin our ears back.

If Byrnes can run for first down yardage and control the clock, you'll win.

Dorman can score from anywhere at any time also though. And we're playing man coverage. No more halo while the player makes the catch and then get him down. We're causing turnovers and breaking passes up. Dorman's return team can score also.

All, against admittedly middling teams. The Byrnes game should be a good one. They NEED to run consistently. We NEED to get pressure on their QB.

I think there's no question Dorman will be able to run. I'm looking for them to start chewing clock on their first drive. If we can run for first downs, we should run it down Byrne's throat. Keep their offense off the field. Dorman needs to own time of possession.
