Half Empty, Half Full

Post by 1 CAT FAN »

Dillon spent much of the second half running the ball — quite effectively — with Martin and the rest of the ground-and-pound offense.

After managing just 72 yards of offense in the first half, the Wildcats offense exploded after halftime, having its way on the ground and returning to form to pick up the win and stay unbeaten on the year.

“The first half, we were lights out,” Loris head coach Greg Mance said after the game. “But at the end of the night, Dillon just made great adjustments and they didn’t make any mistakes in the second half...

While the Loris defense was the overwhelming story of the first half, the game was truly marked by Dillon’s ability to make those halftime adjustments and capitalize after a slow start.

Wilson, Hartsville, Socastee, Marlboro County and Loris were all leading at halftime verses Dillon.
Waiting for a complete game, this team remains a mystery.

Yes, it's difficult to fill the void of a 7 time state champion coach. Thanks for acknowledging that, Slickster.

Y’all crazy. Since Coach Hayes left Dillon went to the lower state championship. This year they got to be the lower state favorite by a lot. If They get some decent QB play, Daniel better be ready to get run ova.

I hope you're right, they do have some quality wins this season, much better competitive non conference schedule.

You don't get a trophy for making it to lower state championship game. But your point about the QB is spot on. Daniel is upper state so if we can't get to Columbia, they don't have anything to worry about.

DDub the only thing more sad than you always asking what everyone thinks about next Daniel game against some terrible team is you coming on a thread about Dillon to say something dumb. You must be worried about that OLine at Dillon, the D, and definitely the skill guys or you woodnt need to say nothin. The big if might could be if y’all get past Powdersville. We will worry about our QB. You worry about Daniel and keep fishin for compliments with your posts that no one care about when you play the weakest teams in state.
