A couple questions.....Your suggesting Mauldin makes it in over Hillcrest and B. Springs?? Where is Blythewood and a spring Valley?? I think Irmo could be the two seed or possibly win their region after that big win over Spring Valley. Where is Northwestern?? I’m pretty sure they will win their region after play the best schedule in the state.

Assuming the NW-Sumter game had not been cancelled and assuming Sumter would have won, NW's non-region opponent's record (South Pointe, Byrnes, Dorman, Ridge View, Sumter, Dutch Fork) was 26-3 before last friday night's games. Very tough.

When taken top-to-bottom, Region 3 is beyond weak. It looks like Region 3 is Rock Hill's for that taking. After that, MAYBE NW can pull off a 2nd place????

Assuming Rock Hill wins out and takes the region, I would not be surprised if the entire region lost out in the opening round of the playoffs. MAYBE Rock Hill pulls out a victory in the first round, but I don't see them winning beyond that.

My humble opinion is that the lower state championship runs through Dutch Fork with the Fort Dorchester/Berkeley winner laying claim to being second best in the lower state.

My humble opinion is that the upper state championship runs through Region 2. Right now, Dorman has the upper hand, but Spartanburg, Gaffney, and Byrnes are all highly capable. I don't think any other region's champion can run that gauntlet into the state championship game this year.

My Trojans are on the outside looking in this year so, good luck to all the teams! May none of the kids get hurt the rest of the year and may the officials NOT be a determining factor in any game. It is just high school football and very few of the kids will actually play beyond the final game of their high school career. May all of us fans remember these are just kids.
