I'm making plans to be at Spring Valley to watch the 4A competition.

A belated thanks for starting this forum, Kind Moderator.

It is disappointed that there is not a marching band at Bishop England any longer...not sure when it disappeared. When I played ball there 30 years ago we had a very good band that was a big part of ballgames...we would enter through the goalposts with the band forming a tunnel to the field blasting the ND Fight Song...our drummers were outstanding...very motivational. Now the Fight Song is piped in after tds. We look forward to Burke games with their excellent band, as well as some other schools...North Charleston,, Woodland, etc...

SF didn't make it into the finals this year, but we showed up and did our best.

Considering our band nearly disappeared 4 years ago, we made a respectable showing.

I don't get caught up too much in the football talk as much. I do have a passion for marching band since my son is involved.

Disappointed in the results yesterday but proud of the band. They did their best on the field!

Let me find something else to comment on or do I need to wait 6 months? Hmm...

Yes, I did not aspire to it, I had band-dad-ism thrust upon me 5 years ago. It was the first time I attended a HS football game since I played HS football 25 years earlier. I'm now a big fan of marching bands and that game they play on the marching field before and after the show every Friday night.
