NCAA Coaching Changes

Post by Rebel-Fan-74 »

With the Early Recruiting Window, the coaching changes happen quicker now for the NCAA. Already had several and by the end of this weekend, I'm sure there will be more. Taking a look at where we are right now.....

Right now I am vertical, on top of the grass

And with that 2 point conversion, Missouri knocks off Florida, and potentially ends Dan Mullen's Coaching Career at Florida. With losses to South Carolina, a 70-52 win over FCS Samford (4-7) who just lost to Furman, and now a loss to Missouri.... I'm not sure he can weather this storm!

Well, as expected, you can move Florida from the maybe list to the open list....

Mullen is a good coach, he will be at least an Offensive Coordinator somewhere next season if not Head Coach.

College football's coaching carousel is in full swing and recruits are de-committing and I expect things to continue as we get more changes. Oklahoma will not be the only school that faces this over the next few weeks.

CLEMSooooooooooooooooooooooooN may be hit with the changes. DC Brent Venables is being reported as the next Head Coach at Oklahoma.... and the AD's name is coming up at Miami where Mario Cristobal of Oregon is being mentioned as the new Head Coach even though they have not fired the current coach, yet.

Well, the Tigers are looking for a new DC and if some reports are correct, the OC is in consideration for another opening....

With the new "early signing" time in Recruiting, filling a coaching opening has become something that was done after the bowls to something that is done immediately after the regular season and as we have seen this year, even before season's end. I don't know about you; but when you take this new coaching departure before the bowl game with the top players option out of the bowl game, I do not like what this could mean for the bowl games. Not only does the fanbase not know who will be coaching the team, they don't know who will be playing.

This could be the beginning of the end of college football as we know it.

Well it's official, Dabo will be looking for a new OC and and new DC this off season. Tony Elliott is headed to UVa and Brent Venables is settling in at Oklahoma. A product of success is your coordinators are in demand for Head Coaching openings and this year, both decided to take those opportunities as they felt those jobs were too good to pass up!
