Region One- To avoid any 'Homer'ism. I put them in order of their Doodle's power rating.
1. TL Hanna 234.8
2. Westside 215.8
3. Easley 190.7
4. Woodmont 188.2

These are my picks.
Region Two-
1. Greenwood- I still favor Greenwood (slightly). I like their offensive weapons. Most teams won't be able to play keep away like TL Hanna did last week.
2. Hillcrest- I put Hillcrest 2nd simply because they beat Mauldin earlier this year.
3. Mauldin- Honestly, Mauldin may be playing the best football at the moment.
4. Laurens- Laurens is off to a slow start. But they did this last year and then came back to win the region.

Region Three-
1. Byrnes - Some believe the Empire is back. So far the defense is only giving up 8 pts. per game.
2. Spartanburg- Chris Miller seems to have his team improving as they come into Region play.
3. Gaffney- Plenty of returning players from a team that made it to round 3 last year.
4. Boiling Springs- Off to a strong 4-1 start. Important Region game against Dorman.
5. Dorman- Got off to a slow start. Although I have them 5th. I haven't ruled them out. A win over Boiling Springs would change this. Gutshall's teams normally improve as the season goes. So I probably have them too low?

Region Four-
1. Northwestern- Good wins over Gaffney and Dorman.
2. Fort Mill- Only losses are to Spring Valley and York. Two teams that are combined 10-1.
3. Rock Hill- Have a good win over York and have lost to quality teams.
4. Clover- They could be a surprise team in this Region?

Region Five-
1. Dutch Fork- Hard to argue against Tom Knots. A possible HUGE showdown with Spring Valley could be brewing for Week 9.
2. Spring Valley- Appears to be the most serious threat to DF. SV is averaging 41 pts a game.
3. Lexington- Quality team that appears to be just a level below DF and SV.
4. White Knoll- Quality win over South Aiken but one sided losses to North Augusta and Spring Valley. Important game against Irmo.
5. Blyethwood- Beat Irmo but lost to River Bluff. Have a 3-way tie predicted here between Blythewood, Irmo, and River Bluff.

Region Six-
1. Sumter- Looks to be a two team race with them and Conway. Favoring Sumter this week.
2. Conway- Off to a 4-1 start.
3. Socastee- Might have a chance to surprise in this Region. Averaging 41 pts per game.
4. West Florence- I put them here..not sure. Carolina Forest or South Florence my claim this spot.

Region Seven-
1. Fort Dorchester- They have been on a Tour of Destruction to this point of the Season.
2. Summerville- Big wins over Spartanburg and Ashley Ridge last week. Wins over West Ashley and Wando could solidify 2nd place.
3. Ashley Ridge- Big win over West Ashley. Coming off a loss to Summerville.
4. Wando- Got a 39-0 region win over Statford.
5. Goose Creek- Slow start, scored only 7 points in 1st 3 games. Had a nice win over West Ashley 31-16. Big game against AR.
6. West Ashley- Tough losses to AR and GC.

At-Large:
AL- Irmo. (Other possibilities: Blythewood, Carolina Forest,West Florence)

What are your picks? :?:

I think your Region VII picks look good. Prior to last week I did not have Goose Creek in the playoff picture but they apparently made a change to their offensive attack which has them finally moving the ball and scoring some points. As you stated, they could only muster 7 points in the first 3 games. Against Summerville they looked horrible on the offensive side of the ball. For them however 2 of the 3 losses were non-region so for playoff consideration, they are in good shape at 1-1. Even though WA has 2 region losses, I still expect them to beat out Stratford and James Island.

I'm stepping out on a limb on a couple of picks. I changed to Mauldin in Region Two and Sumter in Region Six. As you mentioned, Region Three is a complete toss up. At just a quick glance, I would say the Bernz would be in a better situation, bracket-wise, to finish second in their region. I would much rather play Northworstern than TL Hanna in the early rounds. Just looking at it from a distance.

Yeah, second place means you don't see them until Upper State Finals and if Spartanburg or Boiling Springs happen to end up in that bracket, maybe they soften them up for us.
