Re: How Will The SCHSL Protect the Kids and Coaches
I would expect restrictions on attendance (for example 50%, requiring all fans to wear facemasks, etc), which I'm sure the public won't react well to at some places. For the players themselves, I think play will continue as normal, but schools will need to given the infrastructure and resources to ...

They are a SCISA school. SCISA is not following the exact guidelines that SCHSL put out. SCISA issued their own guidelines a couple of weeks before the SCHSL.

Re: How Will The SCHSL Protect the Kids and Coaches
On that, I totally disagree. You most definitely will see college and pro football. Money stops all nonsense. And there is waaaaay too much money hanging in the balance for them not to play. And just like the high schools, the colleges need that football money to pay for all the sports that produce...

Re: How Will The SCHSL Protect the Kids and Coaches
For those wondering the status of things moving forward, here is a pretty telling article from the Governor. He notes that mass closings are over and people will need to be responsible for their own individual health. As someone who has made a living reading "between the lines" of politicians, this...

Re: JUNE 8 IS THE DATE I HEARD FOR FOOTBALL PRACTICE
Yeah, its really all over the place. Its likely some of the bigger/more well funded districts will be back sooner. They have likely been able to stockpile supplies (masks, sanitation supplies, etc), whereas some of the smaller districts may not have as easy access. I am hearing that is what it comes...

Re: Dorchester District 2 will no longer have middle school-based football, baseball and softball teams DORCHESTER COUNT
That headline is a little misleading. Those sports are going to be absorbed into the high school. Charleston County was thinking about having the middle schools sponsor the middle school sports, but they are doing the same thing. Those schools could actually have multiple 7th and 8th grade teams no...

Re: How Will The SCHSL Protect the Kids and Coaches
Thanks for your doctoral knowledge on this one. What experience do you have that leads you to believe an entire football season is over when one player or multiple players on one time test positive for COVID-19? What medical school did you attend? Or better yet, what government position do you hold...
