3rd Annual WRHI Football City USA KickOff

Post by WRHIRadio »

If you don't have plans for August 16th, make a trip to Rock Hill for the 3rd Annual WRHI Football City USA KickOff.
This is not your traditional jamboree format. Each game is a "real game", just an abbreviated version. The teams play 3 8 minute quarters and then a 10 minute 4th quarter with a running clock. The games move quickly but feature a real game feel. Tickets are ONLY $5 in advance ($7 at the gate) and can be purchased at Northwestern, Rock Hill, South Pointe, or the WRHI studios. All ticket revenue goes directly back to the schools!
Here is this year's game schedule
5:30p Rock Hill vs. Marvin Ridge
7p South Pointe vs. Gaffney
8:30p Northwestern vs. Providence
all games will be played at District Three Stadium!

Marvin Ridge is in Waxhaw and covers the area west of Charlotte towards Monroe in Union County. Basically, people who work in Charlotte but want to avoid Charlotte Mecklenburg schools and busing at all cost.

Providence HIgh is in the same area where 485 and Highway 74 cross but is in Mecklenburg County.
