So what's the deal with the at large spots in 5A... what's going to determine who gets it? Boiling Springs is still practicing this week just in case. I thought our season was over. (FYI, I'm still Gaffney through and through, my son is linebacker for the Varsity Dawgs.. I know I've been away for a while)

2A-1
Abbeville is the region champs.
Landrum is 2nd place based on the strength of their wins over Ninety Six and Chesnee.
Chesnee still has some work to do for 3 place. The Eagles need a win over Liberty to avoid a potential 3-way tie for 3rd place.
Ninety Six should be locked into the playoffs but are in a tougher spot to improve their standing as they face region powerhouse Abbeville in Week 10.
Liberty should be make the playoffs based on their win over Blacksburg and have an opportunity to improve their standing in Week 10.

2A-3 - Thanks to TIM for the assist.
Strom Thurmond is the wrapped up the region crown with their win over Silver Bluff.
Silver Bluff will maintin 2nd with their wins over Saluda and Batesburg-Leesville.
Saluda vs. Batesburg-Leesville will determine 3rd place in Region.
The loser of that match-up will be 4th place.
Fox Creek is locked into 5th based on their win over Pelion.

2A-4 - Thanks to bigdog2003 for the help.

Cheraw vs. Chesterfield might determine the final playoff spot.

2A-6
Barnwell vs. Wade Hampton-H has region title implications.
With a win Barnwell would wrap up 1st place, but a win by the Red Devils could either force or a 3-way tie or give Wade Hampton the title.
Woodland still has a chance to tie for 1st if Wade Hampton-H were to pull the upset and the Wolverines win over Edisto.

Thank you for doing the due diligence for ALL programs in the state; both large and small.

That is what makes this site so great.

I wish more appreciated the hard work this staff does.

We appreciate all of our posters that come here to talk high school sports. :D

Our whole staff of two!

Just in case people don't know.....
SF band dad - Site founder and owner for the first few years.
-----SF band dad still posts all the live scoreboards, maps, and also helps with some site admin.
-----Work responsibilities made it impossible for him to own and maintain the site a few years ago....

EHSMeanGreen....me
I own and operate the site now. I do the majority of the site administration, server, etc.

Spambots crashed the board during the offseason in 2017.
I rebuilt the site and got it back online a few weeks before football season that year.
In 2020 I upgraded the software to what we have now and added the ability to post videos, etc.

I post all the Standings, Pick'ems, and I do all of the sites projections (5A to 1A).
I also did all the classification breakdowns. (5A to 1A) Pretty exhausting. :geek:

Special thanks to the following posters.....
We really appreciate Rebel-Fan-74 posting his own game "Running with the Dogs" and his own projections that he posts on the site.

I also appreciate CITYSLICKER sharing DOODLES power ratings with us.
Sharing these allows for things like the "I Called It!" pick'em (just an idea that I thought would be fun a few years ago)
and it also makes it easier to post the projections that you see.

DOODLES is awesome, really appreciate Mr. Dolittle allowing CITYSLICKER to post those here.
An Icon of SC High School Football information.

Thanks for posting at SCPrepTalk! :D

AAAAND as these fellows age, I will posit to the next generation; "Who will take the lead to preserve our beloved pastime/habit/obsession"; which is high school football and a platform to share it with?

Who among you will pick up the flag?

We have received good feedback from some coaches and fans. But what is most disappointing are the media types that copy or read our content, word-for-word, on the air without any attribution. We are always careful to cite our sources and only post excerpts and a link to material covered by copyright. (We wouldn't allow Slicker to post Doodles until we received permission from Mr. Doolittle.)

One big exception: WRHI radio Rock Hill. Those guys are awesome, I sure wish there were more like them.
