won't be many calls in the big game. They usually let the players decide it
I agree, with the Fort game Dutch Fork scored twice in about 7 minutes of the 1st quarter and were rolling, then the penalty flags started flying against DF. I would be curious about the actual count of penalties against each team because Fort usually dominates in that stat. It was very unusual to not see hardly any penalties against Fort but my opinion has been that it is dang near impossible to win at Fort when the officials get involved. Fort had a talented team but they continue to be NOT DISCIPLINED! They would have won a championship or two in the past 5 years if they could get that under control.

Curious how many kids leave Fort with a scholarship in the past 5 years? With the talent they have I haven't read of hardly any signings. Either that is poor grades or character I have been told as a major reason for not being recruited.
We do have them .we dont anounce a lot.
3 or 4 to bluefield state last year .a few this year.
Some more have offers as we speak.
Well have 6 or 7 there .next season.
Had 3 that just aren't interested in regular college.
Rather trade school.

And those refs are from all over in the playoffs.
DF should have had a cuople of unsportsmanlikes showing there butt on the field and taunting.really classy running diwn the opposing teams side yelling at fan base.
at the end of the game yelling fu ref.its on video on you tube .they may be lucky to get a straight shot ever again.
Fairly classless.
Its bad you have to have 8 cops escort your bus out cause of your actions.
I expected better from them.
We arent saints by any means but thats dog crap at best.

Fort Dorchester has had 5 defensive Lineman receive scholorships to play at USC, Navy, GT and Charleston Southern in the last few years. That is Just Defensive Lineman. Multiple players in other positions across the board. Their are recruiters around the school 24/7 and they love the kids around these parts. No character issues. There are 2 defensive lineman right now playing in the NFL right now about to break the 100 sack barrier over the legnth of their careers. We just had an olympic Gold Medal winner who represented the school with class and pride.

Glad someone can remember this damn if i could.
Erskine and newberry as well.

Lot of bad things said about FD for quite some time. From my experience with my kid i wouldnt have wanted
Him anywhere else coached by anyone else .we had a great time .
Losing friday sucked losing sucks period .but thats part of the game.
I can tell you this he's better equipped for life from
His time in the program .
If your kids a baller get him there.
Youll be glad you did.

Also we made a move on our OC when raff left.
Nothing against rafff at all.
But the kids seem to enjoy brent more.
Hoping he doesnt hold his head down about that loss.plays were there we just didnt execute .
We were in the position to win that game against
The top program in the state.
Thats a plus.
Well my dhead nieghbor is blowing his leaves into my yard now i gotta fire up mine and put them back. %!_!_!+_×<+^×^×^×_×_ really wtf.

Damefan hatred toward fort is painfully obvious. When its a fort post its always some sort of negative response. Make me wonder who he pull for
I think if you go back you will find I give credit and positive posts about Fort and others when it is due. When you play a particular style of football and show your butt with all the personal fouls, and thug-like tactics, taunting an opponent before, during, and after and your coach doesn't do anything about it I will call you out whatever team it is. It sometimes hurts to get punched in the mouth when others just let you get away with it.

I have refrained from posting a lot of my thoughts this season due to the fact that there have not been many great games here in the Lowcountry and I chose not to travel as much this year. With that being said Fort is one of the most talented teams if not the best in the Lowcountry, but like any team that acts like they have no respect or class about their opponent regardless of how good or bad they are, I have little respect for them.

I do believe that still that if Fort would gain some discipline that I haven't seen in the past couple of years they would have won as I stated earlier in posts a couple of State titles. Dutch Fork can be the 800 lb gorilla in the room and bully-like Fort and keep their discipline and win championships. It showed in the game. And to close on this subject, when your own fans acknowledge openly to me the fact of no disciple there is a problem!! Sometimes you have to be on the outside to see clearly what is objectively happening when you have zero involvement in the situation. I don't expect you to agree with me, but others I have talked with do.

As far as who I pull for the answer is no one! I am retired and enjoy watching friends who still coach and games that have two great teams compete. On the topic of officials, it is too damn hard to get people in the profession anymore. For what they make they do a pretty good job. Teams that I have been involved with players were not allowed to talk to officials other than captains or coaches, usually the Head Coach only. So any disrespect to an official was not tolerated. You would be running your life away or sitting on the bench for a game or two until you learned some. Hope I have made myself clear.
A great deal of (future) trouble could be averted if these coaches would use their influence to encourage their graduating seniors, that have ended their football careers, to consider how they can influence and impact the game WAY beyond what they did or their coaches for a VERY long time by becoming officials. If every school only got 2 graduating players to try officiating and and from that there was only a 50% retention rate; we would have the best set of officials in the country.

Think about it, players, coaches, officials; which can have the longest continuous career and make the most impact on any given Friday night?

What are YOU doing to improve the game?
