6 hours, 50 minutes, round trip. Plus meals and bathroom breaks, not many folks are up for that.
I watched them travel and stand outside a sold out game mad as hell.

LOL....I remember that game justafan. I remember heading to the scoreboard at halftime and hearing people behind me talking outside the gate behind the bushes. I looked and it was hundreds of Gaffney fans who were unable to get in because the fire marshal said we were at capacity. And yep they were some kind of ticked off....but I would have been too having made that long trip. But it was a longer ride home for them .

There are only a few of the OLD FARTS like mikey still around. All the rest faded away! You are one of the oldest people and one of the longest tenured members of the board [especially if you take the time on the Herald Journal Board]. I think you used chalk to post your first comments on a board! I know the team was the Berkeley T-Rex's back then and Fred Flintstone was the QB!
I wonder what happened to all the Gaffney Posters that used to post on here like Chief Whoa and Chief O? Do they still go to the games? Anyone know?

Last time I saw Chief O was in the hospital, and he was down to about 150 pounds. I saw BOJACK at the game a few years back and one of the other guys still posts and attends the games, Scalpie. He uses another name on the board though. mikey may know more about them.
