Should’ve hired the Fort Dorchester OC or Aiprort guy. Fort Dorchester coach has strong run game and from Greenville area. Airport guy is defensive minded and been successful DC in midlands area at a few schools. Both would probably turn it down if offered now.

Come on Mavericks!!! Check those boxes! They may not be able to coach their way out of a wet paper bag but if they are ________ you have a heck of a hire.

A. High energy
B. HUUUUUUUUNNNNNNGGGGRRRRRYYYYYYY
C. 24/7 guy - first in and last to leave
D. Loves kids
E. at least 26 but not over 32
F. All of the above

Double bonus points for a good church picture or press guide photo of the family - that matters

Triple bonus points if media runs a picture of the hire with headset/backwards hat/wrist coach/intensity face (must have all 4)

Greenville County is starting spring break. I’d be surprised if anyone worked on this until after they get back.

 Well,... that limits the pool of candidates.

Look at past hires....or at least the last one....never underestimate the ability of a Greenville County School to screw up a football hire....do they have a District AD?

Yes Greenville County has a district AD but from what I have been told the District AD is not involved in hiring . I may be wrong on that but I don’t think he is

Greenville Co is no only one of the largest districts in SC, it is one of the largest in the Southeast. It is a bureaucratic logjam, and you only advance if you work the logjam.

There is not a single thing a HFBC can do that will help a principal get his next job. Nobody who is interviewing a principal who is applying to move up, will ever call and ask the HFBC if the principal helped him win games, or helped him with the FB program in any way.

The only thing a HFBC CAN do is hurt the principal from being able to move up....

Greenville Co. could have made things a WHOLE lot better 25 years ago when there was a referendum to split the county into 4 districts... but it got slammed down because the decision makers and grievance dealers would have lost political leverage in the schools.

Imagine now, 25 years after Walmart was planted in that cow pasture beside the interstate and the subdivision that was a working dairy in Simpsonville, was in a separate district with Mauldin, Woodmont, Fountain Inn, and Hillcrest. How much of that money could be spent to build the schools and programs in that area.
