My Beaufort Eagles open up the season on August 20th at Home against Richmond Hill Ga. Beaufort was 5-2 last year and Richmond Hill was 9-3. This should be a great game to open up the 2021 Football Season. Beaufort returns almost all of their Skills players and should be really good this season. Richmond Hill seems to always have some pretty good teams. So from what I know right now....I will say that the score of this game will be.....

Beaufort 38
Richmond Hill 21

GO BEAUFORT EAGLES!!!!
Beaufort Head Football Coach Bryce Lybrand is 43-26 after his 6th Season at Beaufort
2022 3A State Football Champions
3 State Titles in Football
I have attended 636 Beaufort Football Games
GO BEAUFORT EAGLES!!!!

Being a huge Carolina fan (The Carolina, not this carolina), the site of all that Carolina Blue makes the hair on my arms stand up! Good luck this season. Your first game will be a name-the-score game. Great game to check the lights on the scoreboard. LOL

My Woodruff Wolverines open with our traditional county arch-rivals Chesnee.

We were very young last year with a new QB and young on lines and Chesnee, who was senior heavy with a good bit of talent, thought this was the year they would snipe us at home. Woodruff went into Chesnee and dominated the Eagles 49-28. This year the roles are reversed. Woodruff returns 16 starters and has a wealth of talent and depth on both sides of the ball. Chesnee returns just 5 starters from last season and are in full rebuilding mode. They do run the triple option under head coach Clay Lewis who won two 3A titles in North Carolina before coming to Chesnee two years ago, but Woodruff is simply too loaded on offense and defense with a seasoned QB who is now a junior and a plethora of weapons that should make us one of the more prolific offensive teams in 3A.

I will post a game preview the week of the regular season opener but the short answer is I don't see this game being close. It is at iconic Varner Stadium and will be in front of a capacity crowd for the first time since 2019. Our joint will be rockin'!

Woodruff 52, Chesnee 10
And on the eighth day, God created the Woodruff Wolverines
