Gaffney seems to be very up and down. Still, it is all about the W.
What happened to Gaffney’s offense against Dorman?
Spartanburg appears to be getting better each week. Their defense is quick to the ball.
Beyond the normal turnovers/penalties/mistakes, I think the key match up is Gaffney’s offensive line vs Spartanburg’s defensive line.
Spartanburg has a big advantage in the kicking game and 50+ yard field goals are a weapon in Spartanburg’s arsenal that I don’t think Gaffney can match.

I've said for weeks now the Gaffney offense will get going, and I have not been proven right, something just seems off with them. Can Spartanburg get the passing game going? Gaffney's front 7 is really good, can the Vikings run the ball on them consistently?trojangrad78 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 7:11 pmGaffney seems to be very up and down. Still, it is all about the W.

Region championship at The Reservation, it does not get any bigger than this if you are a high school football fan in the Upstate. I fully expect it will be standing room only.
It's hard to beat Gaffney at The Reservation, especially in big games, and this my friends is a big game.
Give me the Indians by 3.
Re: Spartanburg @ Gaffney
Prediction: 2-2 Tie...They go to six or seven OTs and the game is called due to a lack of interest....lol.
Injuns are going to have to play better than they've shown recently to win this one. At the Reservation...tough one. No idea who wins.

Gaffney is getting healthy at the right time. Starting Tailback Jayden McDowell touched the field last week and had a couple of really nice carries and showed that he is definitely on the way back to his performances of last year. He got in a good load last week at Wade Hampton and expect him to see some more carries and load this week

Not overlooking Gaffney. Clearly MaxPreps box scores are not very accurate. #2 is a very good running back, no argument. 4 carries for 8 yards vs the worst football team in 5A (arguably) is not a coming out party. Gaffney has a long way to go to say there offense is on track.

Heard Spartanburgs orignal startting qb Tj will be playing friday with the qb Burk thats playing now .Not sure if its true though :Just gotta see..NHSTrojan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:28 amNot overlooking Gaffney. Yea I think he got 5 carries and if im not mistaken i think he had 15 yards still not a lot of the load but its a part of getting him back in football shape and getting the ankle tested to see how he would do in game situations he looked really limpy during practice last week and im sure that played a part in him not getting a bigger load but hey hes getting back and that will help us out a lot on the offensive side of the ball.NHSTrojan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:28 amNot overlooking Gaffney. No question 2 can be a problem when healthy.
Re: Spartanburg @ Gaffney
That would be huge if true, he brings a different dynamic to that offense.viking84 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:10 amHeard Spartanburgs orignal startting qb Tj will be playing friday with the qb Burk thats playing now .Not sure if its true though :Just gotta see..NHSTrojan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:28 amNot overlooking Gaffney.
